Crypto traders lost more than $1 billion to liquidations in 24 hours as $BTC fell to $80,393 on Thursday. About $930 million of that was long bets, CoinGlass data shows. It is the biggest long wipeout in 90 days. More than $600 million was liquidated in one hour. This lands two days before the anniversary of October 10, 2025, when a crash wiped out about $19 billion. Bitcoin peaked near $126,200 that week and has not been back. Thursday’s total is about one-nineteenth of that. The pressure came from outside. Fed minutes showed most officials saw another rate hike as likely by year-end. The 10-year yield sat near 5.3%. Brent was near $105. US spot Bitcoin ETFs lost about $487 million, the most since late June. Ether fell 4.1% to $2,460. Glassnode puts the next cluster of leveraged bets near $75,000. Rekt Capital says a weekly close below $82,500 puts Bitcoin back in its macro accumulation range. Painful day. Not a repeat of last October, yet.
