Frogman, a memecoin influencer, reportedly got drained of $4 MILLION last night in Singapore while he was asleep. From what I understand, he had attended a private crypto event, connected to the Wi-Fi there, and later his funds were drained. I don’t know the exact attack vector yet, so I won’t confidently say the Wi-Fi was responsible. But this is a serious reminder: Your biggest security risk may not always be your wallet. It may be the device you use to access it. Private crypto events, public Wi-Fi, unknown QR codes, borrowed chargers, random links, fake apps and being careless while intoxicated can all create opportunities for attackers. And please, don’t get drunk at crypto events where you’re carrying access to your money. The deeper I go into cybersecurity, the more conscious I become of how small mistakes can become very expensive. Protect your keys. Protect your devices. Protect your accounts. And most importantly, protect your judgment. In Web3, one careless moment can cost you years of work.
